The Republic of Sabah North Borneo Government-in-Exile (RSNB-GiE) extends its deepest condolences to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, his family, relatives and loved ones following the passing of his beloved wife, Tun Dr Hasmah Mohamad Ali.

The passing of a life partner after many decades together is a profound personal loss. At this difficult time, the Government-in-Exile conveys its sincere sympathy to Tun Dr Mahathir and the entire family as they mourn the loss of a wife, mother, grandmother and respected public figure.

Tun Dr Hasmah will be remembered for her long record of public service, particularly her contributions to medicine, social welfare and community service. Throughout her life, she was widely recognised for her dedication, compassion and commitment to the well-being of others.

At moments of bereavement, political differences and historical disagreements should give way to humanity, dignity and respect for those experiencing personal loss.

The Republic of Sabah North Borneo Government-in-Exile therefore joins others in expressing its sincere condolences to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his family during this period of mourning.

We extend our thoughts and sympathy to the family and wish them strength, comfort and peace as they remember the life and legacy of Tun Dr Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
