Our Legal Team
The Legal & Advocacy Division comprises international law scholars, practising barristers and solicitors, and human rights advocates with expertise in public international law, treaty law, human rights law, and international criminal law. Our team provides the intellectual and legal foundation for all of the RSNB-GIE's advocacy activities.
Core Legal Work
The Division is responsible for: preparing and filing submissions to UN bodies and international courts; developing the legal arguments underpinning the RSNB-GIE's case; advising the NEC on legal strategy; reviewing and responding to legal challenges; and building the evidentiary record for future proceedings.
Advisory Panel
In addition to its core team, the Division is supported by an international advisory panel of eminent legal scholars who provide pro bono guidance on complex questions of international law. We are grateful to the academic and legal community for the support that many have provided to the cause of Sabahan self-determination.
