Structure and Composition
The National Executive Committee (NEC) is the principal governing body of the RSNB-GIE. It comprises the President, Vice President, and Ministers responsible for key portfolios including Legal Affairs, International Relations, Finance, Communications, and Community Engagement. The NEC meets regularly to direct the organisation's strategy and operations.
Decision-Making
The NEC operates on the basis of consensus where possible, and majority voting where consensus cannot be reached. Major decisions — including the adoption of new legal strategies, the entering into of formal agreements with partner organisations, and the allocation of significant resources — require a two-thirds majority.
Accountability
The NEC is accountable to the General Assembly of the RSNB-GIE — the broader membership body — which meets annually to receive reports, review the organisation's progress, elect officers, and set strategic priorities. This democratic structure ensures that the RSNB-GIE remains genuinely representative of and accountable to the Sabahan community it serves.
